HOLISTIC MICRONEEDLING

Holistic MICRONEEDLING Treatment COST

$400 | 55 minutes
Included areas: face + neck + chest + hands

Microneedling Therapy (also called Collagen Induction Therapy) is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure with roots in East-Asian Medicine.

Microneedling improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. It also evens skin texture and tone, may reduce pore size, while improving overall skin quality. Microneedling has also been shown to improve hair growth.

In your treatment, Susanna uses a medical-grade Microneedling device designed for safe and effective treatments. The mechanical action of the device allows the 16 needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled injury at a specific depth. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body’s natural healing process to fill these micro-wounds by producing new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed for improved blood supply.

Microneedling is used in combination with Hyaluronic Acid or other serums to hydrate and heal the skin. The microchannels created by the needles allow for deeper penetrations of topical serums as it increases serum and product absorption by up to 3000%.

For optimal results, Microneedling treatments should be done monthly for 4-6 months. Results will continue to progress for several months after your last treatment. Having Nanoneedling or Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture between visits will enhance the effects of the treatment.

What to expect

Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. Your Holistic Microneedling treatment starts with a skin assessment, followed by a few expertly placed acupuncture points to minimize any discomfort and reduce stress. Then, cooling Hyaluronic Acid serum is put onto your skin section by section as each desired area is treated (face, neck, chest, and hands are all included in the flat-rate cost of session).

Susanna has a unique approach to Microneedling that differs from plastic surgeons offices and med spas where they start with numbing cream on your face. Using acupuncture during your session makes the procedure virtually pain-free and does not require extra chemicals to be put on your skin. It also allows for more areas to be treated in one session.

Holisitic Microneedling FAQ

  • It can hurt a little, depending on the depth of the area being treated. Some areas are more tender than others. If it is uncomfortable, tell Susanna and she can adjust the depth to minimize your discomfort.

  • Not really. It is very common for the skin to be red after your treatment and can last up to 24 hours. The area treated will likely feel warm, almost like a sunburn. Microneedling penetrates the dermis and leaves you more vulnerable to potential infection without proper post-care, so sun + exercise + outdoor activities should be avoided following the treatment. You will be given detailed post-care instructions at your appointment.

  • No. These treatments are not advised during pregnancy. Allow yourself 2-3 months post-partum to pursue this treatment.

  • Active acne, skin cancer, cardiac disease, hemophilia, hemangiomas, large facial moles, spider veins, scleroderma, tattoos in the treatment area, recent chemical peels, collagen vascular disease, active skin infections, keloid scarring, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, sunburn, chemotherapy or radiation therapy, or uncontrolled diabetes are all contraindications for Microneedling.
