Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture) is a natural, whole-body approach to beauty that is more than skin-deep. It promotes muscle tone, collagen, elasticity, and radiance. Changes to your face will be gradual. Acupuncture works at your constitutional level, meaning that in addition to improving your skin, it also helps regulate your digestion, sleep, emotions and much more. If any of these things are out of balance, they can manifest in your face! Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture improves your appearance from the inside-out.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture involves inserting very small acupuncture filaments directly into the dermis layer of the skin, about 3mm deep. This is the layer where collagen and elastin are produced; collagen and elastin make up the fibrous matrix that provides our skin with its firmness, lift, and elasticity. Production of these fibers declines with age, leading to sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. By inserting the needles into this layer, the needles create micro-traumas, increasing blood flow to the dermis as well as stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Acupuncture also helps improve fluid metabolism throughout the entire body, reduces inflammation, regulates circulation. Regular treatments can decrease wrinkle formation, improve dark circles, reduce puffiness, improve appearance of sun spots and damage from aging, decrease redness, improve acne, improve jawline definition, as well as improve skin texture and elasticity.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Gradual, natural looking results.  Plan for a series of 12 treatments: Treatments are recommended on a twice-weekly basis for a 6-week period (12 treatments in total). By the 7th treatment in the series, the effects should be increasingly apparent. Responses vary, based on your lifestyle and individual health status and history. This specific timing of 12 twice weekly treatments has been demonstrated to be the most effective in increasing collagen and elastin production, reducing wrinkles, and achieving lasting results. Treatments can be spaced out to once weekly, but it will take longer to see results. Intermittent maintenance is recommended in order to prolong results: a treatment every few months after the full treatment cycle.
